Patient and public involvement
We are committed to the common values of the where patients come first in everything the NHS does. These values include respect and dignity, compassion and working together for patients.
The work of our service user and carer involvement strategy group helps students understand the patient experience, what it is like to be a patient or client receiving health and social care, and how this affects family and friends who may also be giving some of that care.

The Malagiri School
The Malagiri School is a charity supported by the school and university that provides education in a rural area of Nepal.
The school opened in 2011 thanks to four years of fundraising by students and staff at the university. The school has been visited by many staff and students since if opened.
We continue to support the project with fundraising initiatives to maintain the school and cover running costs.
