The Brits who Built the Modern World is a three-part series beginning on 13 February at 9pm on BBC 4.
Peter Lloyd, Professor of Design in the university's School of Art, Design and Media, acted as academic consultant for the series that tells the story of five of the best known British architects: Richard Rogers, Norman Foster, Nicholas Grimshaw, Michael Hopkins, and Terry Farrell.
He began the project with the programme makers while employed at the Open University and continued when he moved to the °®¶¹´«Ã½:
My involvement in the series has been to ensure the academic quality and help to shape the overall narratives and content. The last couple of months have involved much discussion on rough and fine cuts of the programmes."
There are exhibitions on The Brits who Built the World at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
