The Postgraduate Social Work Bursary provides up to £4,000 towards tuition fees for new applicants wanting to study for a Social Work MSc. And there is further funding available for a personal living allowance.
Every year, the Department of Health makes postgraduate bursaries available to universities across the country. The °®¶¹´«Ã½ has been allocated 25 of the 1,500 bursaries that were released in May.
The Social Work MSc is a full-time, two-year course for graduates of any discipline who want to train and qualify as social workers.
Approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), it adheres to their Standards of Proficiency as well as the College of Social Work's Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF).
The course offers good employment prospects both in established posts and with agencies who provide staff to statutory organisations.
