They will be able to meet others and share experiences of managing the pressures of family and student life, and entertainment has been laid on for children including a bouncy slide, mini inflatable, face-painting, hook-a-duck, and a display of reptiles, courtesy of the East Sussex Reptile and Amphibian Society.
Also, the campus' Open Learning Centre will be open for parents to access the books and educational resources with their children.
Melanie Gill, Principal Lecturer and the Student Engagement Coordinator in the university’s School of Education, said: "Student parent/carers often have difficulties with looking after children, work and studies, and our aim is to bring them together so they can share experiences and tips on how to manage the demands on them.
"We are encouraging as many student parent/carers as possible to attend – it’s going to be quite an event."
The Fun Day, organised by the Falmer Student Support and Guidance Tutors, is at the Checkland Building, Falmer campus, on Saturday 15 November 11am to 2pm.
