The centre, to be built in the university’s Moulsecoomb campus in Brighton, will provide state-of-the-art facilities for mechanical, automotive and aerospace engineering, with the aim of educating the next generation of professional engineers.
The Higher Education Funding Council for England is providing £5m towards the project, along with £7m from the Government’s growth fund and £2m from the university.
The AEC will be a partnership with Shoreham-based Ricardo, world leaders in technical and environmental consultancy and specialising in the development of low carbon vehicle technology.
The exhibition will be in Room 400/01 at the university’s Huxley Building in Queensdown School Road, off Lewes Road, Brighton, BN2 4GL, between 3pm and 8pm on 16 April.
