Professor Julian Crampton CBE, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, congratulated all graduands: “I wish each and every one success in their careers and lives. We are pleased to have played a full part in developing the next generation of key professionals this country and countries round the world need for their future success.

Graduates will collect their awards from Professor Crampton and Lord Mogg KCMG, Chairman of the Board of Governors.

During the proceedings, Margaret Wallis, a Director of the Hastings Academies Trust, a member of the university’s Board of Governors, and former Director of the Hastings campus, will be awarded an honorary Fellowship in recognition of her major contribution to the university and the development of the Hastings campus.

Honorary awards will also be presented to author and illustrator, Emily Gravett; author and founder of the Bhopal Medical Appeal, Indra Sinha; IBM Distinguished Engineer and Master Inventor and member of the IBM Academy of Technology, Mandy Chessell CBE; Chief Executive at Centre for Mental Health, Sean Duggan; expert in criminal law and the author of publications on human rights and criminal law, Françoise Tulkens; STOMP creators Luke Cresswell and Steve McNichols; and Kathryn Flett, best known as one of BBC2’s Grumpy Old Women, who will be awarded a Master of Letters for her major contribution to journalism and broadcasting, and her commitment to developing higher education in Hastings.

According to the latest figures from the Higher Education Statistics Agency for 2013-2014, nine out of 10 (92%) of 爱豆传媒 graduates completing their first degree find employment or go on to further study within six months of completing their education, with over two thirds employed at a managerial and professional level, according to official figures.
