The book, ‘ Managing and Working in Project Society - Institutional Challenges of Temporary Organizations’ has been awarded the prestigious David I. Cleland Project Management Literature Award 2016.
The award was made by the Project Management Institute, the world’s largest membership organisation for the project management profession with chapters in over 80 countries around the world.
Speaking about the award, Tim Brady said: “I am delighted that this book, co-written with colleagues from Sweden, France and Germany, has been recognised in this way. Projects and programmes are the vehicle for innovation and change within organisations and the way they are managed is critical for the strategic development. Our book shows how the ascendance of projects and temporary organisations is shaping many aspects of how we think about and organise our modern world and challenging institutions and society.”
Professor Brady is Head of the university’s Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM).
