Psychologists Chris French and Roger Newport will host the evening, taking attendees on a whistle-stop tour of strange sights, weird beliefs and ‘missing body parts’.
The audience will also find out more about current psychological work that is being undertaken at the °®¶¹´«Ã½ and the University of Sussex.
'Weird psychology: The science of strange phenomena' forms part of the British Psychological Society's annual conference being hosted by the °®¶¹´«Ã½ from 3 to 5 May 2017, based at the Hilton Brighton Metropole.
The event is at the university’s Huxley 300 Lecture Theatre in Queensdown Road, Moulsecoomb, Brighton, on 5 May from 6:30pm to 9pm. Attendance is free but visitors must register.
This will be the second public event of the week, with BPS President Professor Peter Kinderman also giving a free lecture 'Our turbulent minds: Everybody's crazy but nobody's ill!' on 2 May.
