The °®¶¹´«Ã½’s ‘MA 2017 Show’ is open to the public at the university’s gallery in Grand Parade, Brighton, from 23 September to 7 October (closed Sundays). A private viewing is being held on 22 September.
The event is the final show for students studying MA Sequential Design/Illustration, MA Arts and Design by Independent Project, MA Photography, MA Craft, MA Sustainable Design and MA Architectural and Urban Design.
Among the projects on show are a reimagining of the failed NASA Apollo 1 mission and a study of self-portrayal on Instagram shown through the character of a pig who posts selfies from a slaughterhouse.
A university spokesperson said: “Students come from a wide range of disciplines with backgrounds in illustration, film, graphic design, photography, animation, sound design and installation.
“These internationally-recognised postgraduate courses support self-initiated individual projects and help students to develop an informed, critical and imaginative view of their subject. This exhibition is a testament to their unique creative inquiry.”
