The Student Policy Network is made up of UUK members and provides thought leadership and advice to the UUK Board on the role of universities in supporting and enhancing the student experience, including issues such as the Teaching Excellence Framework, consumer rights and admissions.
Professor Humphris said: “It is a great honour to have been returned to a role which is close to my heart. Keeping students at the centre of all we do and improving their learning experience is a cornerstone of what we do at Brighton.”
As Chair, Professor Humphris will continue as a member of the UUK Board and will lead the work of the network, including the development of its agenda.
UUK is the voice of universities. It helps maintain the world-leading strength of the UK university sector and supports members to achieve their aims and objectives. Members are the vice-chancellors or principals (executive heads) of universities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
