Professor Robert Mull joined the directors of New York’s Guggenheim Museum, Florence’s Uffizi Gallery, Paris’s Musee D’Orsay and others to examine the role of art and culture as a universal language and the extent to which they can influence politics and public conscience.
The debate, ‘Culture without Borders: Dialogues with Contemporary Cultural Leaders’, took place at the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. A livestream of the event was watched by an audience of over 250,000.
Speaking about the event, Professor Robert Mull said: “It was a great honour to be invited to take part in such a prestigious event as part of the Tretyakov’s programme. At a time of increased tensions the need for dialogue and spirit of mutual respect is especially important.”
