The winners received their certificates at the end of the university’s annual Learning and Teaching Conference, in a ceremony conducted by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Denyer.
Staff were initially nominated by colleagues or students for the award. From that point, nominees were invited to submit a statement about their teaching strategies for consideration by the panel. This is a competitive process based on the Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellowship Scheme and winners may go on to apply for the national scheme, with CLT support, should they wish to.
Also included in the congratulations were those who had gained HEA Fellowship at all levels through the °®¶¹´«Ã½ Scheme, accredited by AdvanceHE. The photograph shows some of the new Fellow and Excellence Award Winners celebrating on the terrace outside the Checkland Building.
