This policy (together with our terms of use, privacy policy and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you will be processed by us when you register online to attend an event at the °®¶¹´«Ã½.
By booking for an event in this way, you consent to the collection retention and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this policy.
How we will use your information
The information you provide will be used to process your booking. We will also use it to contact you regarding your booking. We may also contact you to undertake post-event evaluation.
TicketSource
We use TicketSource for event promotion and bookings. Please note that TicketSource is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by °®¶¹´«Ã½. You should refer to TicketSource’s terms and conditions of privacy policy as we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies.

Online store
We use our for event promotion and bookings. This is a service managed by the °®¶¹´«Ã½.
Alternative booking process
If you wish to attend one of our events but do not wish to register online, please contact the event organiser. Contact details for each event are provided on the event booking page.
How we track our emails
Our emails may contain a single pixel to tell us whether our emails are opened, which device is used to view the email and verify any clicks through to links within the email.
We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to prospective students and to ensure our emails are optimized for different devices. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email.
If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you can disable image loading in your email client.
Retention of information
Personal information provided for the purposes of booking to attend an event will be deleted within 8 weeks, for use in evaluation. However, for certain events you may be asked if you consent to be contacted by the university again. If you agree to this, the university will hold on to your data in line with our Business and external stakeholder privacy notice. If the event is being promoted via the online store, the retention of data for this system is 7 years (in accordance with financial regulations).
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of this information, please contact us dataprotection@brighton.ac.uk, or see our requesting information page.
We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up to date. You may also ask us to correct or remove any inaccurate information.
