The show which broadcasts on BBC Radio 4, follows the daily chaotic scenarios of its title character, Count Arthur Strong – a former variety star and know-it-all, who aside from his varying problems, employs malapropisms and selective memory loss. Throughout its seven series, the show's cast has included Sue Perkins, Mel Giedroyc, Barry Cryer and Peter Serafinowicz and fellow Brighton alumna Joanna Neary (Visual and Performing Arts BA(Hons) 1993 and PGCE Art and Design 2002). The first three series were recorded live at Komedia in Brighton.
A DVD of the show is due for release in February (more info at ).
Commenting on the award, Graham (Expressive Arts BA 1985) said: "Working on the Count Arthur shows over the last 12 years has always been a real pleasure. We're all really pleased to have got this award, especially because it was the result of a public vote. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for us."
