Common Issues
Have you activated your computer account?
You must activate your university user account Activating your account to get access to University systems, such as My Brighton, My Studies and Microsoft365.
Your password is presented to you when you activate your account. Please make sure you take a careful note of it.
If you “block” your account whilst activating it the Service Desk can unblock this, but you may need to speak to academic services first, as this may be due to an incorrectly spelled family name on your student record.
Have you double checked the following?
- Typos and spelling mistakes
- Is your computer set up correctly?
If you are a returning student, have you enrolled this year?
You may not be able to access your full account until you do so.
