The Entrepreneur Café event is the latest initiative from the °®¶¹´«Ã½’s Healthy Futures Entrepreneurs Network which was launched 11 months ago to “set the vision for the Greater Brighton as a beacon of innovation for a healthy life”.
Representatives from the Greater Brighton Economic Board, Brighton and Hove City Council, charities and industry are among those attending the Café this Friday (8 November) at the Old Ship Hotel, Brighton.
The purpose will be to draft the design and business plan for the ‘Life Forms, the Healthy Futures Co-creation Village’ project which aims to produce new ideas on innovative health care solutions.
Jonathan Sharrock, Chief Executive of Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We’re excited to see a national profile for the excellent and uniquely innovative industries in health innovation build here in the Greater Brighton area, where the university and the business sectors are working very closely together.
“That’s the sort of industry that’s going to drive the British economy into the 21st century.”
Ben Huckle, External Collaborative Lead at Glaxo Smith Kline, said “The initiative really helps us gain an awareness of the industries in and around the Brighton area and how we can work together and share resources and expertise particularly as we’re neighbours. I think that’s really exciting.”
