The purpose of this study is to determine if an undergraduate module, the BSc module By Learning Objectives, has had an impact on those students who have experienced the process, been successful in the assessment and gone on to work in a professional podiatric environment. If an impact is discovered, this would be investigated for its perceived contribution to patient care and on the student’s career.
Question: Has the BSc module by learning objectives had an influence on the professional practice of newly graduated students?
The aims of the study are to:
To understand how this module enhances effective student independent learning, helps prepare them for their first post as a professional podiatrist, improves their chances of employment and impacts positively on the care of their patients. If evidence of these is established, those who design undergraduate curricula in any subject of higher education may find this a workable model.
